Recently, SINOSOAR and its JV members successfully completed the delivery of the first batch of main equipment for the project of Hybridization of (5) thermal power plants in the Agadez region (Lot 1) of Niger. The project aims to build 5 PV diesel and battery storage hybrid power plants in 5 remote villages in Niger, West Africa. In addition, this project also includes the construction of LV/MV power transmission and distribution network, transformer station, and other auxiliary works. After the completion of this project, it will largely improve insufficient power supply situation for local residents.
Affected by the recent COVID-19, the joint venture, the project owner and the supervision consultant have successfully completed the online video acceptance for the main equipment in accordance with the contract requirements.
In this factory acceptance test (FAT), SINOSOAR’s representatives proceed this on-site acceptance in the factory of the manufacturer. Meanwhile, its project responsible person in Niamey coordinate and organize the owner, the supervisor and the factory to carry out the online acceptance. Through this smooth organization and the complete and compliant acceptance process, the owner and the project supervisor fully affirmed the acceptance work, and recognized the well-organized and complete content of the acceptance activities. All relevant inspection reports of this project have been accepted and approved by the owner and supervisor.
On May 8, 2021, the fabrication of the main equipment of the first batch of PV systems of the project has been completed and the packing and acceptance has been successfully carried out in Shanghai Port, and will be sent to the project site Niger soon!
