In November 2019, Sino Soar Hybrid (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the Suriname NICKERIE and CORONIE hybrid power plant projects funded by the Caribbean Development Bank. The project provides a 2.3MWp solar system and a 1.14MWh energy storage system for the area.
At the beginning of 2020, China broke out the Corona Virus epidemic, and the form of anti-epidemic was severe. Suriname immediately provided China with medical supplies. President Desiré Delano Bouterse sent a letter to President Xi Jinping to express his condolences and support for China’s fight against the epidemic, which fully reflects the friendly relations between the two countries.
When the Suriname project just entered the implementation stage, the Corona Virus epidemic in Suriname broke out. Affected by the epidemic, the local medical supplies were very tight.

In March 2020, Sino Soar actively coordinated various resources under the tight supply of medical supplies and donated 4,500 medical masks to the Suriname Electric Power Company EBS as soon as possible. After receiving our medical supplies, EBS expressed their gratitude to us and sent a letter of thanks.
Suriname is located in the Caribbean region of South America. It is a country with a long history and a multi-ethnic population. It is also one of the countries along the “Belt and Road” initiated by China. Suriname is vast and sparsely populated. The national forest coverage rate is as high as 95%. Electricity facilities are relatively weak. As the demand for electricity grows year by year, there is a shortage of power supply in the local area, and some remote areas lack power supply. Because Suriname is located in the tropics and has sufficient sunlight, the conditions for the development of solar photovoltaic power generation are unique. The vigorous development and construction of photovoltaic power stations will effectively alleviate local power supply pressure, reduce electricity costs, and have a more exemplary effect on remote areas where grid construction is relatively lagging.
