40MWh
BESS

On July 13, 2023, Sino Soar Hybrid (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. and its partners successfully won the bid for the 40MWh BESS EPC project in Maldives. The project includes design, supply, installation and commissioning of a total 40MWh BESS in two lots.

Maldives

Through professional design capabilities, strong technical support capabilities, and years of service experience, SINOSOAR has helped lots of islands in the Maldives establish mini-grid projects. The BESS project is the fourth mini-grid project of SINOSOAR in the Maldives region. Up to now, the total number of mini-grid project islands that SINOSOAR has carried out in the Maldives has reached 84.

The Maldives 40MWh BESS EPC project is part of the Accelerated Renewable Energy Integration and Sustainable Development Project (ARISE) initiated by the Maldives government. The main work of this project includes design of the designated island mini-grid system, product supply, Installation and commissioning of energy storage system (BESS includes energy storage unit (battery), battery management system (BMS), PCS and other equipment), and installation and commissioning of energy management system (EMS).

It is noteworthy that the Maldives 40MWh BESS EPC project will integrate the EMS energy management system independently developed by SINOSOAR and SP series energy storage inverters and other products to achieve balance and complementarity among multi-energy modules and intelligent regulation. And cooperate with the SINOSOAR global data management platform (GDP) to centrally manage and monitor the power generation modules and operating equipment of the microgrid, optimize the original diesel power generation system of the island, and organically combine it with the intelligent energy storage system. On the one hand, it can realize efficient and green power supply, and can also ensure the safe and stable operation of these island power systems.
