SINOSOAR
PV-diesel-storage
Renewable Hybrid system
SURINAME
Recently, SINOSOAR received the notification of winning the bid for the renewable PV-diesel-storage hybrid system upgrade project in POKIGRON, Suriname, and successfully signed a commercial contract with the project owner.
This is the third hybrid system project SINOSOAR has undertaken in Suriname. Previously, SINOSOAR already delivered four renewable hybrid power stations in two phases, and earning high recognition from the local government and project owner for its technical strength, service quality, and project execution capabilities. The owner has also expressed a strong desire for continued cooperation with SINOSOAR.
Amazon Rainforest
be beset with difficulties
The third-phase hybrid system project in Suriname is located in the town of POKIGRON, near the Atojn ferry on the Suriname River, deep in the Amazon rainforest. Due to the unique geographical environment, public facilities and residential areas are scattered. The complex network of rivers in the area also makes long-distance power transmission costly. The original power station had an unreasonable configuration, resulting in the inability to intelligently switch between PV power generation, energy storage, and diesel generation systems, leading to significant fuel consumption. Furthermore, underdeveloped waterway transport made it difficult to deliver fuel in a timely manner, causing frequent regional power outages. Considering these factors, the project site was selected in a relatively populous village, and the existing power station will undergo an upgrade to greatly improve the stability of local electricity supply and reduce operational costs.
The advantage of technological innovation
SINOSOAR
SINOSOAR will expand the PV system of the existing power station and upgrade the original battery bank to lithium battery modules. In addition, SINOSOAR’s independently developed intelligent energy management solution will be used to comprehensively upgrade and replace the EMS of the power station. Using SINOSOAR’s patented hybrid system control technology, the system will enable real-time communication and management between different energy modules, such as diesel generation, energy storage, PV power, wind power, and hydropower, achieving precise monitoring and control of various generation modules, energy storage systems, and loads.
Customized solutions
Economical and efficient
For example, when sunlight is sufficient, the system will switch to the renewable module for power generation, with the diesel generator relegated to standby mode, thus reducing fuel consumption and emissions. During extended periods of cloudy or rainy weather, the system will smartly switch to the diesel generation module within milliseconds to ensure a stable power supply to end-users. With excellent compatibility, modular configuration, safe and convenient management, and powerful integration and optimization capabilities, SINOSOAR’s solution maximizes energy generation efficiency, allowing intelligent and convenient power station management and ensuring the safe, stable, and cost-effective operation of the renewable hybrid system.
