Kiribati
On June 8, 2025, Hon. Tekeeua Tarati, Minister of Infrastructure of Kiribati, led a delegation including the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary and the Ambassador of Kiribati to China and his spouse to visit Sino Soar Hybrid (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (SINOSOAR). Mr. Rocky Cao, Chairman of SINOSOAR, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests with his reception team, and in-depth discussions were held on bilateral cooperation topics.

The meeting took place at SINOSOAR headquarters, where Chairman Rocky Cao systematically elaborated the company’s core business segments and highlighted the critical progress of the ongoing Renewable Hybrid System project in Kiribati. The South Tarawa Solar Hybrid Project, the focal point of this visit, carries the strategic goal of supporting local energy transition. Minister Tekeeua Tarati highly commended the project’s execution progress and expressed full affirmation of SINOSOAR’s professional capabilities and meticulous management demonstrated in technical implementation. Following the talks, both sides held a solemn gift exchange ceremony. The Minister formally invited Chairman Rocky Cao to visit Kiribati upon project completion to jointly witness this milestone moment.


SINOSOAR
Kiribati faces dual pressures of resource scarcity and climate challenges. In May 2022, the governments of China and Kiribati signed the Implementation Plan for the B&R, designating renewable energy and climate change response as key cooperation areas. SINOSOAR’s series of projects in Kiribati represent vital achievements under this strategic framework.


This visit to Beijing reaffirms both sides’ commitment to renewable energy transition. SINOSOAR will continue upholding its corporate mission and technical expertise to ensure efficient project delivery and stable operation. Leveraging the technical expertise of microgrid systems and global service capabilities, it will deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in clean energy, contributing further to building a China-Pacific Island Countries community with a shared future.
