As Sino Soar’s 26 islands PV-Diesel Hybrid Storage Mini-grid Project in Maldives enters the final stage, in order to further deepen cooperation with local owners, improve the technical level of the owners’ operation and maintenance personnel to ensure stable operation after the project is delivered, during December 2019 2nd to 8th, Sino Soar invited 30 representatives from the local power company of Maldives and the Ministry of Energy to come to China for one-week skill training and exchange visit.
The training course consists of four days. The first day was arranged in Beijing, with a welcome speech by our project manager Wang Zheng; the company’s technical director Shao Ziqiang conducted microgrid system training; project electrical engineer Luo Jun conducted grid-connected inverter training; Diesel Gen-set chief engineer Chen Zhibin conducted Diesel generator training. The course focuses on the related knowledge of mini-grid system and explains the theories and practical principles of each link of the mini-grid system in simple words. The course combines detailed analysis and discussion on the equipment actually used in the Maldives project, and after each training session, our engineers would provide detailed answers to the questions raised by the owner.

The second and third day of the training course were arranged to visit the factories of JA Solar Co., Ltd. and Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. in Hefei City to learn about the automated manufacturing processes and manufacturing principles of the solar modules, inverters and other related equipment used in the project. And at the same time feel the outstanding achievements of China in the process of industrialization development represented by the photovoltaic energy industry.

On the fourth day of the training course, colleagues from Sino Soar and all the trainers returned to Beijing. In the afternoon, Zhu Jiantao, director of Sino Soar’s R&D department, was arranged to teach the photovoltaic power generation system EMS energy management system. The system was independently developed by Sino Soar. Currently, the latest version 2.0 system has achieved practical success in the project.

When the five-day training course came to an end, colleagues from Sino Soar sent all the trainers to the airport. After five days of enthusiasm and orderly arrangement by Sino Soar, the trainers from Maldives not only gained the practical and rich content of advanced knowledge and concepts of photovoltaic systems, but also touched by Sino Soar’s sincere spirit of cooperation. On the occasion of the farewell, the Maldives trainers and Sino Soar colleagues deeply embraced, and the representatives of the training team highly recognized the work and organization capabilities of Sino Soar.
